Not-for-Profit Organizations – Planning for, realizing and showing results in a changing environment

Speaker(s):
Bill Reid
Donna Diskos

In this current environment, where “change” has taken on whole new meanings, non-for-profit organizations face even more of an imperative to reconsider their priorities and directions for the future, how this translates into their budgets, and the means by which they can demonstrate success.

The use of strategic plans, enterprise risk management, governance, financial management, budgeting and reporting on performance are tried and true as means for addressing this imperative. Where even greater value can be realized is in the consideration of how these approaches work together, in a way that makes the most of limited time and resources.
This session will provide for:

  • A “real time” assessment using anonymous voting technology of the current issues in planning, risk management, governance, budgeting and reporting on performance.
  • A panel based discussion of leading practices in these areas that are rated as most in need of strengthening and the means by which synergies can be realized.
  • A dialogue on how to successfully move forward with the pursuit of improvements in integrated planning, risk management, governance, budgeting and reporting.

Session Times:

  • Thursday 8:45 - 10:15 - FULL
  • Thursday 10:30 - 12:00 - FULL
